The sustainable SHER journey
We started a sustainable journey with the launch of SHER in 2020.
AND WE HAVE SOME RESULTS TO SHARE
One of our goals is to save resources by designing our products in a sustainable way from the beginning.
Part of that journey is the selection of fabrics. We spend a lot of time researching and selecting high quality fabrics from dead stock of our fabric mills and production partners.
Most of the time those fabrics are leftovers that other brands have ordered, but never took to production. In many cases those fabrics end up as landfill and stand for an incredible waste of resources and energy that has a negative impact on our environment.
In 2020 we have purchased and taken to production 200 kg of textiles that would have gone straight to landfill or be burned.
SMALL SOLUTIONS ARE THE MOST IMPACTFUL
To reduce the amount of one way use packaging and totally avoid the use of plastics bags, all our products are are shipped from our production partners to SHER packed in bags made of leftover fabrics.
Those bags go back to the production site to be re-used for the next shipping.
AVOIDING IS BETTER THAN RECYCLING
Avoiding polybags is certainly better than recycling them. We ship all our products to our customers in havana boxes with lightweight silk paper.
It not only helps the planet but makes online shopping also more beautiful!
Last but not least we always opt for quality before quantity when it comes to sports clothing.
YOU can give your contribution by choosing products of quality, that last over time and that are manufactured within processes that fullfill the ethical and sustainable standards.
SHER can help you to make the right choice.
“The Sher Active cycling products are not just innovative and of high quality, they are stylish too, and that’s exactly what women like.”
